We satisfy our pancake crave in Hilo, Hawaii by visiting the local cult favorite, Ken’s House Pancakes in the summer of 2017 . I was amazed to find a 24-hour diner on the Big Island. This restaurant is very unique, always super crowded and has a huge variety of food choices on top of their HUGE Pancakes. Find out why Ken’s Diner is one of the best restaurants on the Big Island and should be on your itinerary when you visit Hawaii . Did I mention that it’s frequented by professional wrestlers ?
Come with us on a horseback riding adventure on the rim of the Waipio Valley, possibly Hawaii’s most scenic spot ! We use Waipio Ridge Stables, a great tour group to lead us around one of the Big Island’s most interesting areas. I get plenty of great DJi Mavic drone shots from high above the Waip’io valley, and we even stop at a waterfall to have lunch where I attempt to dive into freezing cold water. Enjoy the Hawaii Life with us, as the series is almost coming to a close.
Follow our adventure as we hike, bike, and enjoy an up close view of the Lava Flow at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Find out, the most economical method of seeing Hawaii’s most famous attraction, Mount Kilauea in 2017. This activity involves renting a bike in Kalapana, and riding 4 miles in each direction (including one-way in pitch darkness with only a a flashlight and headlight). We break down the entire activity of viewing this volcano on the Big Island and tell you why it is absolutely the #1 activity you have to try when you visit Hawaii. Make sure to subscribe for all of our adventures on Hawaii Island and around the world.
Where is the best manta tour in Kona, Hawaii in 2017 ? We set out with Manta Adventures to try night snorkeling with Manta Rays and it was an unforgettable experience you need to try. Follow us through the whole experience, from boarding the boat, to the up close and personal views of the Mantas . I would highly recommend this company if you decide to do this while in Kona on your Hawaii Vacation (link below) . We explore the Kona side of the Big Island in our summer of 2017 Hawaii series. In an attempt to avoid an expensive tour we don’t need, we decide to simply rent kayaks from a local company to try to find Dolphins at Kealakekua Bay ! Afterwards, we head back to town to eat authentic poke for the first time and then show you why Kona has one of the best sunsets in all of Hawaii Island. This may be the best volunteer opportunity ever . While living in Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii we discovered you can take shelter dogs out on a field trip for the whole day and have them join you on your adventures. You are provided with all of the essential items you would need to care for the dog, and even help promote permanent adoption to local residents. We took Miracle out, and she was an absolute treat as she joined us for a fun day at Liliuokalani Gardens in Hilo ! We vlog the whole experience from start to finish. If you are visiting the Big Island even for a few days, this is one activity you MUST do if you love animals. If anyone is interested in adopting Miracle or taking part in this program I am leaving a link to it below. Please share this with your friends visiting Hawaii Island and be sure to subscribe if you are new .

This is one of the most unique guest houses I’ve ever come across!! Join us as we stay at an off the grid guesthouse in the Ka’u region of Hawaii . This is about as remote as you can get on the Big Island, as the terrain is literally on volcanic rock and could pass for Mars. We’ll explore how sustainable living works (solar power and wind turbines), take a hike to a hidden white sand beach (Pohue Bay), and even show you around the home brewery that is attached to the guesthouse . If you want to stay at the Ocean View Bed and Brew, I’m attaching a link below.
